Ana Maria Lara

Ana Maria Lara, 57, formerly of Guymon, passed away Thursday morning, August 12, 2021 at her home in Liberal, Kansas, surrounded by her loving family.
The daughter of Jose Avalos-Castaneda and Victoriana Avalos Pina, she was born June 12, 1964 in Torreon Coahuila, Mexico.
Ana moved to Guymon from Mexico in 1986, and to Liberal in 2014. She was a homemaker and member of the Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her father, Jose Avalos and one brother, David Avalos.
Survivors include her mother, Victoriana Avalos Pina of Guymon; one daughter, Esmeralda Lara and Shandon Gilmore of Liberal; one son, Jose Lara and wife, Blanca of Liberal; seven sisters: Luz Avalos of Liberal, Gloria Ponce of Guymon, Norma Avalos of Guymon, Raquel Villa and husband, Regino of Phoenix, Arizona, Marisela Avalos of Denver, Colorado, Irene Gutierrez and husband, Jaime of Guymon and Teresa Minjarez and husband, Homero of Liberal; three brothers: Moises Avalos and wife, Maribel of Guymon, Ernesto Avalos and wife, Alma of Phoenix, Arizona and Victor Avalos and Violeta of Juarez, Mexico. Survivors also include five grandchildren: Aurora, Maximiliano, Mariana, Serenity and Johnny and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Sunday, August 15th between the hours of 2:00 and 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be Monday afternoon, August 16th at 2:00 p.m. at the Iglesia Bautista El Calvario, 619 S. May, with Rev. Moises Avalos officiating. Interment will follow in the Elmhurst Cemetery. Services are under the care of the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon.
