Leona Louise Judd, 87, of Hooker, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at her home Friday morning, December 23, 2022. She was born February 11, 1935, in Sand Springs, Oklahoma, to Fred and Venice (Bartlow) Kammerzell.
Louise attended high school in Adams, Oklahoma, where she was a member of the runner-up state women's basketball team her junior year. She married Roy Shannon Judd on June 8, 1953. They moved to their home west of Hooker in 1965 where they raised their three daughters, Linda, Connie and Lori.
Louise was a member of the Morning Star United Methodist Church in Hough, Oklahoma, where she loved teaching Sunday school to adults and children. Louise was the church custodian, a homemaker, and helped work the family farm where she was no stranger to running the tractor, combine, or dump truck. Roy and Louise also ran a photography studio where she loved helping capture the perfect pictures for their many clients. Her family, especially her grandchildren, brought her the greatest joy, and she loved sharing her favorite memories about them.
Survivors include her husband of 69 years, Roy Judd; daughters Linda Ward and husband Carl of Hooker; Lori Kraft and husband Rick of Hooker; and grandchildren Shannon and Misty Ward, of Guymon, Oklahoma; Wendy and Eric Keith of Hooker; Megan Bridge of Grandview, Missouri; Chelsey Kraft and fiancé Zach Koppari of Edmond, Oklahoma; Luke and Jennifer Kraft of Norman, Oklahoma; and Sarah Kraft of Weatherford, Oklahoma; and great-grandchildren, Darrin and Tara Lakely of Goodwell, Oklahoma; Aspen Ward of Guymon, Jessie Keith of Hooker; and Brenna and Cailyn Bridge of Grandview; and great-great-grandchildren, Hayden and Austin Lakely of Goodwell, as well as several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Louise is preceded in death by her parents, daughter Connie Schnabel, and siblings Bertha Henson, Elnora Scantling, Bonnie Gordon, Charlene Clancy, Jay Kammerzell, Royal Kammerzell, and Wanda Germann, and niece Jeri Nelson-Finkeldei.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday afternoon, December 27th at 2:00 p.m. at the Bunch - Roberts Chapel with Jim Jamieson officiating. Interment will follow at the Elmhurst Cemetery. Memorials in Louise's name can be made to the Hooker Ambulance Service and will be accepted at the Bunch - Roberts Funeral Home, PO Box 1112, Guymon, OK 73942.
