Robert (Bob) Wendell Curry Jr

Robert (Bob) Wendell Curry Jr, age 80, of Spearman, Texas, passed Thursday, April 6, 2023 in Amarillo surrounded by loved ones.
Robert was born on September 8, 1942 to Robert Curry, Sr. and Lorene (Whitehead) Curry in Indianapolis, Indiana. After Robert graduated from Arsenal Technical High School in Indianapolis he went on to study electrical engineering at Purdue University where he also joined the ROTC. Following graduation he was commissioned as an Officer in the Navy and served on both a submarine and a patrol boat in Vietnam.
In 1990 Robert met Anna Marie Holland in Austin. They spent 33 years happily married and caring for their combined eight children.
In 2003 Robert retired from the state of Texas after a 35 year career in computer science. Robert enjoyed cheering on the University of Texas football team, traveling with his wife and spending time with friends and family.
Robert was predeceased by his mother and father, Lorene and Robert Wendell Curry Sr., as well as his stepson Kyle Livingston.
He is survived by his wife Anna Marie Holland Curry, his sister Victoria and husband, Jorge Ramirez, his children Chris & Amy Buchanan, Bryan & Whitney Curry, Sean Curry, as well as step children Kelly & Shelly Livingston, Koy & Crystal Livingston, Lise Guffy and Darrin Guffy. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A graveside memorial service will be held Saturday, May 27th at 11:00 a.m. at the Elmhurst Cemetery in Guymon. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Bob’s name can be made to the American Macular Degeneration Foundation or to the American Cancer Society and will be accepted at the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home, PO Box 1112, Guymon, OK 73942.
