Donaven Eugene Adams, 77, of Guymon, passed away Friday, December 10, 2021 at the Norman Regional Hospital in Norman, Oklahoma.
The son of Monroe John and Dorothy Myrtle (Walker) Adams, he was born July 20, 1944 in Clinton, Oklahoma.
Don and Pamela Jane LaRose were united in marriage on November 24, 1985 in St. Petersburg, Florida. They moved to Guymon from St. Petersburg in 1991. He was a member of the Victory Memorial United Methodist Church.
Don served in the United States Navy. He graduated from the Tyrone High School in 1962, and received his nursing degree from Seward County Community College in Liberal, Kansas. Don worked in nursing with Memorial Hospital of Texas County, and Heritage Community Manor.
He is preceded in death by his parents, son, Ranz Adams, and brother, Freddie Dewain Adams.
Survivors include his wife, Pam of the home, children: Verdonna Ashley, and husband, Gordon of Elizabeth City, NC, Veronica McCullough of Hooker, OK, Sabrena Adams of Guymon, Kimberly Jones, and husband, Danny of Dumas, TX and Eddie Sheltra of FL. Survivors also include 15 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, sister, Marketta Kidwell and husband, David of Guymon and brother, Eddie Adams of Henderson, NV.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday afternoon, December 15th at 2:00 p.m. at the Victory Memorial United Methodist Church with Pastor David Player officiating. Interment will follow in the Elmhurst Cemetery.
Memorials in memory of Don may be given to the American Cancer Society. Memorials will be accepted at the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1112, Guymon, OK 73942.
