Charles Junior Parsley
Marlow: Charles Junior Parsley, 70, passed away Sunday, June 16, 2013 at his home in Marlow.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, June 29, 2013 at the Marlow Cemetery with Jerome McCalvin officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow.
Charles was born Saturday, July 25, 1942 in Marlow, to A.C. and Myrt (Stutz) Parsley. Charles lived in the Marlow area all of his life and graduated from Marlow High School in 1960. Charles played on the 1959 Marlow Outlaw state champion football team. He served in the US Navy and later attended college. On March 7, 1981, Charles married Shirley Matthews in Marlow. He worked as a lineman for PSO for 28 years. Charles enjoyed fishing, woodworking in his shop and watching westerns on TV. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Marlow.
Survivors include, wife, Shirley Parsley of the home; sons, Chuck Parsley of Grandfield, Jerome McCalvin and wife Kayla of Marlow, Matthew McCalvin and wife Sharon of Oklahoma City; daughters, Corinna Martin and husband Damon of Duncan, Peggy Jackson of Burkburnett, TX, Julie Perkins of Lawton; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Tom Parsley and wife Linda of Marlow; sister, Gayla Isbelle of Marlow; nephew, T.J. Parsley and wife Shannon of Fletcher.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter, Brandi Abshire.
