© Mercer-Adams Funeral Service Bethany, Oklahoma August 2008 Eula Faye [Annett] Harris In Loving Memory Faye Harris 4/17/1925 - 8/18/2008 Eula Faye Harris passed away August 18, 2008 at the age of 83. She was born April 17, 1925 to Bert and Effie Annett in Hugo Oklahoma. Faye is preceded in death by her husband Cleo, sisters Viola Walker and Florene Farmer, and brother Arlis Annett. She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law Dennis and Charlene Harris of Yukon, David and Deborah Harris of Bonita Springs, Florida; three grand children, Jeffrey, Katrina and Christopher; four great grandchildren, Spenser, Haylee, Carter and Kaydyn; sister and brother-in-law Dorothy and Bud Haigh of Lewisville, Texas; brother Ray Annett of Mustang; brothers-in law and sisters-in-law Rodney and Oline Harris and Billy and Charlene Harris, all from Denton, Texas; and many nieces and nephews. She was loved and will be remembered by all for her unconditional love and fierce family loyalty. Faye moved at an early age with her family to Marlow, Oklahoma, where she grew up during the great depression. Upon graduating from Marlow High School in May, 1942, she attended Cameron Junior College in Lawton for one semester before joining her sister Viola in Oklahoma City to work at McDonnell Douglas Aircraft Company for the war effort. She returned to Lawton in 1945 and worked at the Coca Cola Bottling Company. She soon met and fell in love with Cleo Harris, and they were married August 21, 1946. Sixty-two years of marriage produced their two loving sons, Dennis and David. When the boys started school, Faye began her career as a hairdresser. It was her strongest desire that her sons would get a college education, and she and Cleo worked hard and saved their money to make that happen. In the late 1970's, both boys had started families of their own in the Oklahoma City area, so Faye and Cleo moved to Oklahoma City to be closer to their boys and grandkids. Faye worked in a beauty supply store until she retired, and then she took great pleasure in her backyard azaleas and red tipped photinias. Her biggest pleasure, however, came from visits by her family. In May 2006, Faye and Cleo moved to Mustang, Oklahoma where they enjoyed the comfort and serenity of each others love and companionship. In July 2008, together they moved to Grace Living Center in El Reno, until Cleo went to be with the Lord on August 13th, and Faye followed behind him five days later. May God bless them forever. |
