Barbara Gwendolyn [McCall] Ely
Funeral service for Barbara Gwendolyn Ely, 77, of Chickasha, Oklahoma will be held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 25, 2009 in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home.
BARBARA GWENDOLYN ELY was born September 10, 1931 in Wheat (Oak Ridge) Tennessee to Guy Melvin and Winnie May [Sellers] McCall and died Saturday, March 21, 2009 in Edmond, Oklahoma.
She attended Petersburg High School in Texas and St. Mary's Nursing School in Galveston,Texas. She worked as a Registered Nurse at Midwest City Hospital, The Unity Hospital in Oklahoma, and The Marlow Hospital.
She was a member of the Bible Baptist Church in Chickasha.
She and Reverend Lewis E. Ely were married on October 9, 1973, and he preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a sister and both parents.
Survivors include: Brother: Gene McCall of California, Cousin: Russell Moneymaker of North Carolina, Great Niece: Kelly Christopher of Oak Ridge, Tennessee, Caregiver and dear friend: Denise Ferris Wills of Amber, OK.
Interment will be in the Marlow Cemetery, Marlow, Oklahoma under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
