Robert Lee Davis
ROBERT L. DAVIS RITES HELD TODAYFuneral services were held today for Robert Lee Davis in the Steele Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 pm with Marvin McKeever officiating.
Davis, a farmer who lived ten miles northwest of Marlow since 1906, died suddenly in Oklahoma City Tuesday, December 7, from the effects of a heart attack. He was assisting his son, Oran Davis, in building a house when he became ill and died three hours later. The deceased was born at Mill Creek, Indian Territory, September 6, 1891. He married Miss Lottie Bottoms September 6, 1912 at Bray.
Survivors include his widow, eight children, Eran and Roy, both of Marlow; Joy Faye, Joann, and Mary Lou, of the home address; Mrs. Stella Lackey, Springfield, Colo.; Mrs. Marie Peddycoart, Bray; and Oran, of Oklahoma City; three brothers, Scott, of Marlow; and Ernest and Edgar, both of Roswell, N. M.; four sisters, Mrs. Maude Lewis, Mrs. Alice Hatfield, and Mrs. Nora Garrett, all of Marlow, Mrs. Myrtle Hatfield, Sulphur, Okla., and three grandchildren.
Burial was in Marlow Cemetery.
