Albert Ray Williams
COMANCHE - Albert Ray Williams, 73, of Comanche died in the early morning hours of Tuesday, July 22, 2003, in Duncan Regional Hospital. Service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Ray of Hope Church with Dow Pannell and Wayne Houston officiating. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home in Comanche. Albert Ray was born March 1, 1930, in Comanche to Henry and Zola Williams.
He married Norma Nadine Driggers on Oct. 26, 1948, in Sherman, Texas.
He lived in the Comanche area all of his life and attended Comanche schools.
He retired from Halliburton in 1991 and worked occasionally at Jerry Wilson's machine shop after his retirement.
Survivors include his wife, Nadine, of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Robin Williams of Houston, Texas, and Terry and Debi Williams of Comanche; four grandchildren, Kristi Williams of Austin, Texas, Justin Williams of The Woodlands, Texas, Matt and Codi Kenney of Oklahoma City, and Rachel Couch of Marlow; a great-grandchild, Jillian Couch; a sister and brother-in-law, May and Pete McCall of Marlow; a sister, Ruth Snelling of Bedford, Texas; a brother and sister-in-law, Roy and Trudy Williams of Loco. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Ruby Allen. Bearers will be Ken Throckmorton, James Churchman, Calvin Burton, Calvin Burton Jr., Harold Bay and Don Tugman.
