Charles Phillip Pruitt
Charles Phillip Pruitt, 64, of Duncan, died Sunday, May 26, 2002, in Oklahoma City. Service will at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Christian Life Cathedral Church in Meridian with Bill Choate and Rusty Canoy officiating. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Comanche.
Visitation will be until 8 p.m. today and the family will receive visitors from 5 until 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Pruitt was born Dec. 6, 1937, in Duncan to Philip Leroy and Ila Pruitt.
He married Faye Jackson on Sept. 16, 1968, in Australia.
Mr. Pruitt was a self employed truck driver and worked in the oil field. He was a member of Meridian Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Faye, of the home; two sons, Phillip Dee Pruitt of Ingleside, Texas, and Weston Pruitt of Duncan; a daughter, Angelina Ashton, of Duncan; a sister, Priscilla Savage, of Comanche; five grandchildren, Phillip Cameron Pruitt, Sean Michael Pruitt, Angelina Ida Marie Pruitt, Albany Brook Ashton, and Sidney Dawn Ashton; three aunts, Marie Ruth McDonald, Ratta Mae McDonald and Jane Pruitt Harrison; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Mary Ann Bright, and an infant son, Brandon.
Bearers will be Jim Brasher, Bob Bowden, Bob Ivester, Anthony Goodman, David Goodman and Phil Whitney. Honorary bearers are Jimmy Barks, J.T. Thompson, Terry Garrett, Roy McWhorter, Bob Whitley and Bo Erwin.
