Matthew Lynn Mayes
YUKON - Matthew Lynn Mayes, 25, of Yukon died Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2003, in the University of Oklahoma Medical Center in Oklahoma City. Service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, in the Highland Park Baptist Church, with the Rev. Winston Curtis officiating. Interment will be in Fairlawn Cemetery at Comanche, under the direction of the Bailes-Polk Funeral Home.
Matthew was born Sept. 25, 1977, the son of Larry and Carolyn [Goff] Mayes. He moved to the Yukon area five years ago.
He married Jennifer Wylie on Oct. 14, 1999, in Wichita Falls.
He worked for the D'aurisio Construction Co. and loved to fish and ride motorcycles.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Travis Goff, and paternal grandparents, Jink and Edna Mayes.
Survivors include his wife, Jennifer, of the home; twin sons, Bladen and Zane Mayes, of the home; two stepsons, Derick and Christopher Wylie, of the home; his mother and stepfather, Carolyn and Gary Cline of Duncan; father, Larry Mayes of Hartford, Ark.; four brothers, Alex and Gary Lee Cline, both of Duncan, Josh Mayes of Waurika and Joe Reames of Velma; and a sister, Lisa White of Ryan.
Bearers will be Michael Thompson, James Suson, Larry Patterson, Casey Williams, Jason Hunt and Rickey Sampley.
