Robert Chase Lindsey

May 19, 1982 - June 25, 2017

Robert "Chase" Lindsey, of Comanche, Oklahoma, was born May 19, 1982. He passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2017, at the age of 35.
Family visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 27, from 6-8 P.M. at Whitt Funeral Home.
Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, June 28, at 2:00 P.M. at the New Hope Baptist Church West with Rev. Randy Southerland officiating, assisted by Rev. David Morrow. Interment will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery in Comanche. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home.
Chase was born to Paul David Lindsey and Connie Shelby Clinkenbeard. He attended schools at Grandview and graduated from Comanche High School in 2001. He graduated with a BS in History and a minor in Sociology/Physiology from Cameron University in 2015. He wrote an award-winning research paper in History and was personally chosen to speak at Northeastern Oklahoma State University. He enjoyed fishing with his Papa Billy, enjoyed target shooting, UFC Fighting, and especially flying in a plane with his cousin. Chase had an enormous heart for helping others, including his mother, above helping himself during his own illness.
He is survived by his siblings and their spouses, Chad and Stacey Lindsey of Comanche, Brandon and Jenifer Lindsey of Duncan, Greg and Kristin Clinkenbeard, of Comanche, Gaylyn and Case Medlin, of Texas, and Jeff and Teressa Clinkenbeard, of Comanche; his grandparents, Billy and Donna Shelby of Comanche, his father, Paul Lindsey; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Chase was preceded in death by his parents, Connie and Joe Clinkenbeard; his grandparents, Betty Shelby, Bruce and Cleo Lindsey; and his great grandparents, Willie and Mildred Huey and E.F. and Mitta Shelby.
Pallbearers will be Gavin and Kreed Lindsey, Jesse Apple, Corey Morris, David Johnson, Ray Rutzer, Sid Richardson, and Mike Cloud. Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie, Chris, Tim, and Kolby Shelby, Jerry and Larry Benson, Mike Powers, and Edgar Owens.
Memorial contributions may be made in Chase's name to St. Jude Children's Hospital or M.D. Anderson Cancer Research Hospital.
