Sharon Natalie Hawkins

June 2, 1939 - November 30, 2020

Sharon Natalie Hawkins passed away in Duncan on November 30, 2020 at the age of 81.
Visitation will be at the Whitt Funeral Home Tuesday, December 1, 2020 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, December 2, at 2:00 PM in the Whitt Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor David Hale officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairlawn Cemetery in Comanche. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home.
Sharon was born on June 2, 1939, to Beula M. Sowles. She worked as the head cook for the Delta Community Action Center for 32 years before retiring. She enjoyed cooking especially for her family that she loved dearly. She made Christmas candy for all of her family as gifts, as well as making all sorts of other candies. She enjoyed gardening and growing her own herbs that she used for her cooking. She loved watching Food Network and enjoyed watching old western movies and programs. She loved to go dancing and listening to country music.
She was preceded in death by her mother; daughter, Sandra Vess; brother, Robert Anderson; and sister, Peggy Harris.
Sharon is survived by her two sons: Billy Chisum and wife Judy of Duncan; Frankie Hawkins and wife Sharon of Duncan; seven grandchildren: Lijah Chisum; Jesse Chisum; Jessica Russell and husband Josh; and Jordan Taylor and husband Ryan; Casey Vess and wife Carrie; Donnie Vess; Randy Vess; and eleven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her three sisters: Trudy Byrd and husband Tom of Comanche; Gayle Blakely of Comanche; Liz Fawbush and husband Lynn of Duncan; and brother, Bobby Sowles of Duncan.
