Harold Edward Damron
ENID, Okla. ~ Harold Edward Damron, of Edmond, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, May 10, 2013. He was born the youngest of six children on Oct. 26, 1932, near Comanche, Okla., to Logan Wilkerson and Mollie Dear Damron.
He married his childhood sweetheart and the love of his life, Naomi Ruth Green, Oct. 17, 1950.Harold was a man of faith, an entrepreneur, mentor, and an encourager of countless individuals.
He loved God first, his family second and his work, where he endeavored to make the best mattress money can buy until May of 2012, when he retired at 79 years of age. His life and his legacy will live on through the lives of those he blessed.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, R.L. and Henry; and sister, Lucille.
Harold is survived by his wife of 62 years, Naomi; four children and their spouses, Lindy and Jim Rowton of Edmond, Jean Ann and David Riggs of Oklahoma City, Ed and Brenda Damron of Tuttle, and Jay and Lee Ann Damron of Lawton; 13 grandchildren and their spouses; and 17 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Juanita Billups of Keller, Texas, and Barbara and husband Raymond McSpadden of Enid; and many nieces, nephews and a host of special friends.
A celebration of his life will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at Spring Creek Assembly of God Church, Edmond. Graveside interment will be 3:30 p.m. in Fairlawn Cemetery, Comanche, Okla. Services are under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home, Enid, Okla.
