Letha Faye Newman

Letha Faye Newman, 75, of Duncan died Wednesday, June 4, 2003, in Duncan.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Don Grantham Funeral Home Chapel with the Elders Henry Newman, Mike Hughes, Dennis Kreie and G.H. Crain officiating. Burial will be in the Duncan City Cemetery under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home.

The family will receive visitors from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Letha was born on Sept. 23, 1927, in Bray to Ernest Dunbar and Lula Mae Williams Rogers. She was a graduate of Duncan High School and married Elder Jerry E. Newman on Oct. 12, 1945, in Duncan. He preceded her in death on Aug. 24, 1994.

Mrs. Newman spent her life serving others as a minister's wife at the Duncan Primitive Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Elder Henry Newman of Arapaho; two daughters, Celia Kreie of Duncan and Marilyn Hughes of Oklahoma City; a sister Dorothy Pryor of Austin, Texas; and eight grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Tom Newman, Mike Newman, Brad Newman, Erron Kreie, William Hughes, Kyle Ledford and Ron Booth.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Primitive Baptist Church, 317 S. 15th, Duncan, OK, 73533.
