Edwin Don Mitchell

Edwin Don Mitchell, 70 years of age, passed away in Duncan Regional Hospital on October 14, 2013 in Duncan, OK.

Funeral services will be held at Whinery-Huddleston Funeral Home on Old Cache Road in Lawton, OK at 11:00 am on October 16, 2013. The officiating minister will be Dow Pannell of the Ray of Hope Church in Duncan, OK.

Burial will follow the funeral service at the Duncan Cemetery at 11 am.

Don was born on March 6, 1943 in Comanche, OK, and he graduated from Duncan High School. After graduation, he began working for the Oklahoma Department of Transportation.

Don married Rosemary Lee Savage on December 6, 1975.

Don is survived by Edwin DeWayne Mitchell (son), Stephanie Mitchell (daughter in-law), Dana Dawn Mitchell (daughter), Corine Burch (sister), Patricia White (sister in-law), Marsha Bess (sister in-law), McKenna Mitchell (granddaughter), Dylan Mitchell (grandson), and many nieces, nephews and friends. Don is preceded in death by Rosemary Lee Mitchell (wife), Edwin D. Mitchell (Dad), Grace Mitchell (Mother), Granville Mitchell (brother), Bernadean Burch (sister), Reba Gentry (sister) and Faye Towell (sister).
