Duncan Municipal Cemetery, Stephens County, Oklahoma

Sarah Frances Jordan

Mrs. Sarah Frances Jordan, 312 H, died at 9:25 a.m. Sunday in a local hospital after nine months illness. She had been a resident of Oklahoma at intervals since 1916.

She was born March 4, 1871 in Callaway County, Mo. and was married to Joseph W. Jordan there Feb. 15, 1888.

The couple moved to Chickasha in 1916, and then to Cement in 1927. She and her husband lived there until his death in 1932, when she came to Lawton to make her home.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Becker Memorial chapel, Rev. Elbert Whitwell, pastor of the First Christian church officiating.

Burial will be in the family plot at Duncan.

Survivors are three sons, Andrew, 815 Roosevelt; Garriet, 310 H. and J. L., Waco, Tex.; five daughters, Mrs. Nannie Myers, 311 1/2 H: Mrs. J. T. Reece, 1303 Summit; Ruth Jordan, 312 H; Mrs. Will Sain, Cyril, and Mrs. Emma Strickland, Denton, Tex.: 22 grandchildren, a number of great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
