Rachel [Branson] Jordan
Rachel Jordan Funeral Friday Mrs Rachel B. Jordan, 39, dispatcher for Safety Cab Company, died at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the family home, 1305 Summit, following an illness of two months of a heart disease.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday in the Ritter Funeral home. * Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.
Mrs. Jordan was born Rachel Branson, near Cleburne, Tex., Feb 6, 1910, and she came to Lawton in 1939 from San Antonio, Tex.
She returned to Cleburne where she was married to J. Garrett Jordan in 1942 and they made their home in Lawton where both were both employees of the taxi company.
In addition to her husband, survivors include her mother, Mrs Iola Halford, Fort Worth, four sisters, Mrs Alma Wilshire, Mrs Zettie Mae Timmons both of Fort Worth, Mrs Virginia Davis, Calwa City, Calif., and Mrs. Zuetta Davis, Alvarado, Tex., and a brother Cecil Branson. Fort Worth.
*Note - she was buried in the Duncan Cemetery, Duncan, Stephens, Oklahoma. Funeral home records & gravestone states her name as Bransom and she was born 7 Feb 1910.
