Benny Jones, Sr.

Benny Jones Sr., 60, of Ada, a former longtime Duncan resident, died Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2003, in Norman Regional Hospital.

Graveside service was to be at 10 a.m. today in Duncan Cemetery. Interment was to be under the direction of Bailes-Polk Funeral Home.

Mr. Jones was born July 10, 1942, in Duncan, to Joel Eugene and Ira Velma Cox Jones.

He married Linda Sue Doyal on Nov. 2, 1963, in Wichita Falls, Texas, and they moved to Ada in 1998.

Mr. Jones was an active evangelistic minister.

Survivors include his wife of the home; five sons and two daughters-in-law, Destry and Kim Jones of Duncan, Joel Jones of Tucson, Ariz., John and Carmi Jones of Duncan, Benny Jones Jr. and David Jones, both of the home; three daughters and a son-in-law, Tina and Billy Cox of Mexia, Texas, Jennifer Jones of Duncan and Dana Jones of the home; two sisters, Lucretia Jones of Dripping Springs, Texas, and Yvonne Kulbeth of Duncan; several aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
