Raymond Price `Buck' Buckmaster
March 14, 1925 ~ Aug. 22, 2013

DUNCAN - Raymond Price "Buck" Buckmaster, 88, of Duncan, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013, at Meridian Nursing Home.

Graveside service will be 9 a.m. Monday, Aug. 26, in the Duncan Cemetery with pastor Doug Gunsalus officiating. Burial is under direction of the Don Grantham Funeral Home.

Buck was born March 14, 1925, at Tomoha, to Orbie and Della Yakley Buckmaster. He married Myretta Don Smith on Jan. 1, 1945 at White Oak, Texas, and she preceded him in death on May 9, 2005. He married Mary Ann Patton on Oct. 11, 2006, in Duncan. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army and a member of the Heritage Oaks Church of the Nazarene.

Buck had an extensive career in law enforcement, serving in California, with the Duncan Police Department and the Stephens County Sheriffs Department. He served as the first Municipal Judge in Velma. He was also a mechanic, operating several EXXON Service Stations along with a oil and gas production operation.

Buck is survived by his wife, Mary Ann of the home; three daughters: Charlotte Hendrix and husband Tom of Broken Arrow, Margaret Tinney and husband Ernest of Marlow, and Elizabeth Teufel and husband John of Geneva, N.Y.; two step-sons: Alan Gunter of Shawnee, and Duane Wickell of Duncan; a sister, Geraldine Lee of Visalia, Calif.; eight grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, nine step-great-grandchildren; and his constant companion "Cowboy."

Buck was preceded in death by his parents, a wife and two brothers: Bobbie and Orval Buckmaster.

Honorary bearers are Johnny Teufel, Michael Teufel, Raymond Tinney, Ronnie Tinney, Brian Hendrix, Brent Hendrix, Brandon Hendrix, Brooke Hendrix, Alan Gunter and Duane Wickell.

Memorial contributions may be made to Heritage Oaks Church of the Nazarene.
