Mike was born on December 28, 1962 in Stilwell, Oklahoma, the son of Harold and Emmabel (Morris) Moten. He passed from this life on May 1, 2018 in Fort Worth, Texas at the age of 55 years and 4 months.
Mike was born and raised in Stilwell, Oklahoma spending as much time as possible hunting, fishing and trapping and telling stories with family members and good friends. Mike had a passion for the outdoors and the old ways of life. He loved the woods and the creeks of “The Mountain” and loved telling stories of the good old days spent roaming those hills. Mike was diagnosed with a very aggressive and rare bone cancer in mid February and was receiving care in Fort Worth Texas at the time of his passing.Survivors include:Mother Emmabel Abbott, Sisters and spouses- Jean Ann Wright and Shawn, Rhonda Zuvanich and John, Michelle Paden and Tony, Alyson Smallen and Derek, Rachel Clark and Alex. Son David Moten, Special Aunt Lynda Massey and Clark and Cousin Sharon Bailey and Joe, Brother/Friends- Carl Patterson and Mark Ellis;.ex-wife Alice McDoniel and two bulldogs Diesel and Blake, and many other nieces and nephews, cousins and aunts and uncles that he loved very much and a host of friends.
