Graveside Service for Sherry (Reynolds) Patterson, 91, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, August 13, 2026 at Sallisaw City Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc. with Evangelist Minerva Roberts officiating.

Sherry was born on July 14, 1935, to Otto Reynolds and Gazelle Holder Reynolds. She attended Sallisaw High School, where she was crowned the 1953 Football Homecoming Queen. Following graduation, she moved to Bartlesville, Oklahoma, where she began working for Phillips 66. It was there that she met the love of her life, Don Patterson. The couple married on June 19, 1955, and shared a devoted and loving marriage.

While Don completed his degree at the University of Oklahoma, they welcomed their two beloved children, Mark and Dawna. After a brief return to Bartlesville, Don’s career took the family to Alexandria, Virginia, where they built their life together.

Following Don’s passing, Sherry returned to her hometown of Sallisaw.

Sherry leaves behind to celebrate her life granddaughter, Kasalynne (Chris) of Edmond, and great-grandsons, D.J. and Patrick; her nephew, Randy (Pam) Reynolds and family of Oklahoma City; her nieces, Tammy Farmer and family of Edmond, Robin Reynolds Jenkins and family of Shawnee, and Becki Reynolds and family of Sallisaw. She also leaves behind her special caregivers, dear friends, and neighbors, Wayne and Linda Dillon, along with many other relatives and friends.

Sherry was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Gazelle Reynolds; her beloved husband, Don Patterson; her son, Mark Patterson; her daughter, Dawna Patterson; her brothers, Bob (Charlene) Reynolds and Jay (Annice) Reynolds; and her sister, Lela Jean (Ray) Farmer. She was also preceded in death by her nieces, Barbara Reynolds Hickman and Susie Reynolds Wampler; her nephews, Freddie Reynolds and Harlan (Debbie) Farmer; and her great-nephew, Clay Reynolds.

Sherry will be remembered for her kindness, her quiet strength, and the love she shared with her family and friends throughout her life.
