She was
born March 24, 1926 in Best, Texas, the daughter of
Eugene Davis "E.D." Veal and Erma Lucille (Brown) Veal.
She was married to Spencer Calhoun on May 28, 1954 in
Big Lake, Texas. He preceded her in death on January 10,
2006. Mrs. Calhoun was a homemaker and a Southern
Baptist.
Survivors are: 3 daughters: Donna and Joe Sweeney of
Sallisaw, OK, Cindy and Mike Wilson of Purcell, OK, and
Paula and Robert Rutherford of Choctaw, OK 8
grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 3 great great
grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her husband, Spencer; her
parents, Eugene Davis "E.D." and Erma Lucille (Brown)
Veal; and 1 brother, Joe D. Veal
Funeral service will be Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at 1
pm at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma.
Burial will be at Sallisaw City Cemetery under the
direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in
Sallisaw.
Viewing was Tuesday from 10 am - 8 pm at Agent Mallory
Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw.
Active Pallbearers are Tommy Sweeney, Terry Sweeney,
Matt Sweeney, Ryan Rutherford, Brett Rostykus, and
Donnie Eichler
