Flora “Granny Flo” Bennett, 95, of Bartlesville, died Tuesday, September 20, 2022, in Bartlesville.

She was a Godly, loving woman, and she used her love for Jesus to spread the gospel every chance she could with others.

Flo was happily married to Bruton Bennett for 68 years. She spent her working life as a homemaker and always took care of the whole family. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandma and great-grandma. She was so proud of her family and every chance she got, she loved speaking about them and showing them off.

Flo had a passion for gardening and red roses were her absolute favorite. Shopping was definitely something she did often and was known to have a new outfit for every occasion. She loved certain stores and took her granddaughters often.

Flo also had a love for writing and for many years wrote a column in the Vian news called Flo's Corner.

Flo is survived by two granddaughters, Melissa Sweet and her husband James, and Gwynne Brock and her husband Ryan; brother, Jimmy Isham and his wife Mung; four great-grandchildren, Aimee Trottingwolf and Rachel Trottingwolf, Colton Brock and Madelyn Brock; and son-in-law, Sam Mathis.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Liliian and Luller Isham, husband, Bruton Bennett; her only child, Barbara Mathis; four brothers, Kiowiah, Deleo, Odell and Arnold Isham; and four sisters, Joy Reavis, Dean Philpot, Colleen Gore and Patsy Abercrombie.

Visitation will be held on Sunday from 1-5. Flo loved flowers, especially roses - please feel free to send flowers as expressions of love to the Davis Family Funeral Home & Crematory – Walker Brown Chapel, 918-333-7665, 4201 Nowata Rd, Bartlesville, OK 74006.

Services will be held 10:30 a.m. on Monday, at the Davis Family Funeral Home & Crematory – Walker Brown Chapel.

Interment will follow in the Sallisaw Cemetery at 3 p.m. Services are under the direction of Carter Davis and the Davis Family Funeral Home & Crematory – Walker Brown Chapel.
