She was born on July 9, 1931 to Clem and Viola (Harden)
Skaggs in Blackgum, Oklahoma.
She married Billy Cole on
December 24, 1949.
She attended Blackgum Elementary and Vian High School, after
her schooling she went on to be a homemaker and medications
nurse. Melva enjoyed cooking, roses, ceramics and crocheting
and was a member of First Assembly of God in Stillwater, OK.
She is preceded in death by her parents, sister, Willa Ray
Sumpter; two brothers, Clem Skaggs, Jr. and J.B Skaggs; one
granddaughter and one great grandson.
She is survived by her husband of the home, Billy Cole and
their five children; Eddie Cole and wife Carol of Moore, OK;
Leota Gaither of Edmond, OK; Rick Cole and wife Lisa of
Mannford, OK; Aaron Cole and wife Brenda of Stillwater, OK
and Karen Amey and husband DaNeal of Mannford, OK and
thirteen grand children and twenty five great grandchildren.
