August 15, 2006

The funeral for John Eldon Rathjen, 40, of Sallisaw, formerly of Enid, will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Blue Ribbon Downs Chapel, Sallisaw. The Revs. Curtis Bias and Leon Farley will officiate.

Burial will be in Akins Cemetery. Arrangements are by Agent Funeral Home, Sallisaw.

He was born Oct. 6, 1965, in Enid, to Orville Virgil Rathjen and Patsy Lee Riley Rathjen Rowe, and died Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2006, in Sallisaw.

He was a horse owner and groomer.

Surviving are his mother, Patsy Riley Rathjen Rowe of Sallisaw; one sister, Betty Phillips of Enid; and his paternal grandfather, James Eldon Riley of Enid.
 

He was preceded in death by his father.
