Floreen Dunn of Mount Vernon, Texas ( formerly of Badger Lee Community, Oklahoma) was born October 7, 1914, in Gans, Oklahoma, to John and Martha (Dodson) Brooks and passed away February 15, 2012, in Mount Vernon, Texas at the age of 97.

She is survived by One son: John Dunn and wife Carole of Mount Vernon, Texas 2 Grandchildren Phillip Dunn of Washington, D.C. and Shannon Kosec of Carrolton, Texas 4 Great Grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Raymond Dunn (Married 1939), Sisters: Arlene Floyd and Sara Benson and brother: Jack F. Brooks.

She was of the Baptist Faith and a Member of the Oklahoma Eastern Star. She lived all her married life in the Badger Lee Community, near Sallisaw, Oklahoma. She was active in the Badger Lee Baptist Church until moving to Mount Vernon, Texas. There she was a member of First Baptist Church .

Funeral Services will be 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at Mallory-Martin Chapel with Reverend Dale Phelps officiating.

Burial will follow in Akins Cemetery under the direction of the Mallory-Martin Funeral Home, in Sallisaw.
