Services for J D Branscum, 90, of Ada are 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 6, 2023 at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Randall Christy will officiate. Burial will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery.
Mr. Branscum passed away Monday, January 2, 2023 at an Ada assisted living center. He was born January 23, 1932 at Konawa, Oklahoma to Dio and Iva Sexton Branscum.
He married Amelia Henry December 6, 1951. She preceded him in death August 31, 2021. Mr. Branscum owned and operated Branscum Lumber Company for many years, later was a rancher. He was a Chief Lending Officer and board member of the Production Credit Association.
Survivors include a son, Jeff Branscum and wife Cathleen of Ada; his grandchildren, Cody Hill, Dillon Branscum, Chance Branscum and Lindsy Pierce; four great-grandchildren, Ellis Pinter, Amelia Masie Pinter, Colton Branscum and Owen Branscum; an aunt, Am Sanders; and special friend, Debbie Teel.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and a daughter, Linda Branscum.
Bearers will be Cody Hill, Dillon Branscum, Chance Branscum, Derrick Brooks, Bill Graves and Charles Mashburn.
