Services for Charles Albert Fitzgerald, 80 and Janet Fitzgerald, 79, of Ada are 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 27, 2022 at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel in Ada. Rev. Harold Ware will officiate. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Seminole. The Chickasaw Honor Guard will conduct military honors at the cemetery.

Mr. Fitzgerald passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at a Norman hospital. Mrs. Fitzgerald passed away Sunday, August 14, 2022 at a Norman hospital.

Charles was born December 4, 1941 in Roswell, New Mexico to Albert Roy and Gladys Wood Fitzgerald. He graduated from Seminole High School and received a Bachelor of Science degree from East Central University. He enlisted in the U. S. Navy in 1965 and was honorably discharged in 1968.

Janet was born September 4, 1942 in Shawnee to Smiley and Evie Crowley Myers. She graduated from Earlsboro High School.

Charles and Janet were married December 21, 1968. Charles was an Agent for Mistletoe Express for many years as well as with Pre-Paid Legal Services. He retired from the Chickasaw Nation. Janet worked in sales at Walmart where she later retired.

Survivors include a daughter, Lisa Fitzgerald and her husband Ray Baratzadeh of Norman; Janet’s sister, Mary Myers of Shawnee; and Charles’s sister, Pam Knoles and husband Fred of Seminole; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

They were preceded in death by their parents; and a son, Michael Lee Fitzgerald in 2001.

Bearers will be Ray Baratzadeh, Nolan Decker, Conlan Decker, Tim Azlin, Dwayne Royston, John Smith, James McWethy and Fred Knoles.
