Irene Thelma Phillips, daughter of Anna Mae (Bowlus) and Fred Blue was born on Feb. 6, 1911 near Canton . She passed away at the Alva Beadles Rest home on Sept. 2, 2006.
Mrs. Phillips was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Harley and Cecil.
Irene is survived by her daughter Pat White and her husband Dr. Charles White of Alva, two granddaughters and their husbands, Kay and Dr. Larry Kiner of Enid, Terry and Dr. David Steele of Wichita, Kansas, four great grandsons and wives, Kyle and Jennie Kiner of Apache, Oklahoma, Gregory and Callie Kiner of Oklahoma City and Bryan Steele and Michael Steele both of Wichita, Kansas, other family and friends.
Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. at the Wewoka Cemetery with Reverend Kyle Kiner, pastor, Apache First United Methodist Church, officiating. Wharton Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements Condolences may by made online at Wharton Funeral Chapel.
