Laren Lee Bates II, also known as "Larry", was born on Aug. 3, 1967. On Apr. 18, 2017 he met his heavenly Father face to face.
Larry was born to Larry and Virginia Bates at St. Anthony's Hospital in Oklahoma City.
He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Bates; step-father, James D. Akin; and grandparents, Burris and Minnie Smith and George and Nona Bates.
He is survived by his mother, Virginia Cheshier; step-father, Carl Cheshier; sister, Kimberly Dean and husband, Anthony; nephew, Andrew Theiss; niece, Jamie Hull and husband, Adam; step-sister, Jan Cornelius; step-brother, Phil Cheshier and wife Sharon; uncle, Tommy Smith; aunt, Nancy Martin and uncle, Lonnie; uncle, Ray Anderson and aunt, Patty; uncle, James Mouser and aunt, Margaret; numerous cousins and a multitude of friends.
Larry never met a stranger and he loved everyone. He also loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing. Larry was saved at a young age and he loved the Lord. He also loved his sweet dog, Daisy, who was usually found curled up on his lap. He had a kind heart and would do anything for anyone. Larry will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
