Seminole resident Henry O. "Doc" Jordan, 94, passed from this life
Monday, April 13, 2009 at his home.
He was born Oct. 2, 1914 in Sylvia, Okla. to parents William "Bill"
Jaordan and Callie (Lane) Jordan. He had lived between Oklahoma and California
for many years. He worked as manager for Cotton Ginner retiring in 1977. He
most recently returned to Oklahoma four years ago from California. Doc was
a member of the Lighthouse Tabernacle Church.
Doc is preceded in death by two wives, his first wife and mother of his
children, Hazel Jordan in 1956, and his second wife, Iva Jordan in 2002; his
parents; and one daughter, Betty Jo Jordan, who died in 1942.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Henry and Pat Jordan of
Tulare, Calif; three daughters, Wanda Farmer of Merced, Calif., Patsy Bass of
Lemore, Calif., and Ann Galente of Seminole; three sisters and a brother-in-law,
Wanda and C. J. Langdon of Calif., Laverne Jones of Seminole, and Jean Kiser of
Seminole, Okla; 14 Grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several
great-great-grandchildren; he is also survived by a host of other family and
dear friends.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m., Friday, April 17, 2008 at Little Cemetery Chaple. Pastor Bruce Benson and Jess Power will officiate the service.
