Grace attended public school in Wewoka. Grace met and married Willis Womack on October 26, 1935 and moved to Okmulgee, Oklahoma. Through their union, 13 children were born. In 1947 the Womack family moved to Bakersfield. Grace worked as a farm laborer and later opened her own business, a cafe known as the Twisting Place and volunteered her time at the Friendship House Community Center. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Reverend Edwards, Pastor, where she served on the Usher Board for many years.
She leaves to cherish her memory, Gladys Buckner (Fred), Freddie Joyce Mackey, Bobbie Lee Gaines (John), Donnie Ray Womack (Carolyn), Charles Edward Womack (Clementine), James Albert Womack and Shirley Ann Womack, daughter-in-law, Clady Womack all of Bakersfield, California, McKinley Womack (Lee) of Stockton, California and daughter-in-law, Diane Payne from Pittsburg, California. Forty-two grandchildren, seventy-three great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.
She will be missed by a host of relatives, friends and a long time special friend, Mrs. Lou Ward. She was a friend and 'mother' to many who knew her. She enjoyed together with her many family and friends and enjoyed good times. Mama never complained through all of life's trials and tribulations. Mama we love and will truly miss you dearly. Take your rest.
