Ronnie Rush

Ronny Rush, age 60 of Newcastle, peacefully passed away on his birthday, Monday, July 15, 2013 at his home. He was born on July 15, 1953 in Wewoka, OK. He was the middle child of seven children born to Vester Rush and Virginia (Loftis). Ronny grew up in the Oklahoma City area and later served two years in the National Guard. On September 3, 1972, he married the love of his life, Margaret Kimbrel. Together they raised two sons, Tommy and Jesse. He lived in the OKC area for 11 years before moving to Newcastle in 1998. Ronny grew up with a love for trucks and this lead to his lifelong career as a truck driver. Truck driving was his life and he often told others that truck driving was his only hobby. However throughout his life he did enjoy watching cop shows on TV. Going to gun shows and hanging out at the local pawn shop, always looking for a bargain. In his later years he enjoyed motorcycles and spending time with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by: Father: Vester Rush, One brother: Larry Rush.

He is survived by: Wife: Margaret Rush of the home in Newcastle, Mother: Virginia Rush of OKC, Sons: Tommy Rush of Stroud, Jesse Rush and wife Jill of OKC, One brother: Vester Rush and wife Mary of Norman, Four sisters: Carolyn Cole and husband Perry of Atoka, Jackie Chancellor of OKC, Barbara Jackson of OKC, Renee James of Drumright, Two grandchildren: Madison and Truitt Rush, Also many nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Thursday, July 18, 2013 at Woodland Hills Baptist Church in Newcastle. The committal service will be 2:00 PM at Little Cemetery N. of Seminole. Arrangements are with Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Newcastle.
