Vivian Carmelita Rivas, 68, of Prague, departed this life Sunday,
June 28, 2009, in Ada. She was born April 14, 1941, in Wewoka, Oklahoma, the
daughter of Manuel, Sr. and Ruby (Corona) Rivas. She graduated from Seminole
Junior College with an associate degree in Business, worked as a secretary for
Hopeman Equipment Company and she was a member of Indian Baptist Church in
Shawnee. Vivian was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include brothers and and sisters-in-law, Manuel and Norma
Rivas of Prague and Andrew and Judy Rivas of Pawhuska, three nieces and three
nephews.
A graveside service was held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 1, at Little
Cemetery in Seminole County, with Manuel Rivas, III officiating.
