SEMINOLE--
Seminole resident Doyle Bernard Murphy passed away Thursday, Oct. 16,
2008 in Seminole, Oklahoma at the age of 77.
He was one of thirteen children born on April 4, 1931 to Robert Lee and
Essie Mae (Ford) Murphy, in Ark.
He moved to Seminole eight years ago from Okemah. He worked at Tinker
Air Force Base and was a member of the American Legion Post #204, in Seminole.
He also served in the United States Army.
He married Carolyn Lou Musgrave, in Clarksvill, Texas on Feb 10, 1983.
She survives him of the home; he is also survived by two daughters:
Diane Marie and Richard Houck , of Seminole and Doris Jean Cameron, of Colbert,
and one step-daughter, Delores Jean Walker, of Oklahoma City, one brother and
sister-in-law, Glen and Clara Murphy of Arkansas, and one sister-in-law, Oma
Murphy, 9 grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren as well as a host of
neices, nephews and other family and friends.
His mother and father, one son, Doyle Dwayne Murphy and eleven brothers
and sisters precede him in death.
Graveside services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 20, at Little
Cemetery with Rev. Carl Whitfield officiating
Service is under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
