DEC 3 2008
Longtime Seminole resident Betty Hester, 77, passed from this life on Monday, Dec. 1, 2008 at the Unity North Hospital in Shawnee after a brief illness and went to be with her Lord.
She was born Jan 31, 1931 at Seminole to Don Cline and Twilla (Fry) Cline.
She was very enjoyably married to Frank Hester on Sept. 27, 1947 at Seminole, and they had 55 years 9 months of married bliss. There were no children born to this union, but they both loved to have community children and nieces and nephews in their home many times.
Betty was a person who dearly loved being a loving and caring wife. They lived in the country most of the time, where they raised a garden. She
loved to pick the produce and home can or freeze it for later use, and always tried her best to make things happy and good.
She was a member of the Twin Oaks Baptist Church since she gave her heart to the Lord and was baptized on April 10, 1966.
Betty loved her church and enjoyed teaching the small children in Sunday School. She was always a part of Bible School and loved to sing praises to her Lord.
After losing her husband, Frank Hester, in June of 2003, Betty was never quite the same but tried to carry on with as normal a life as she possibly could. She continued to live where she and Frank had lived for many years and spent a lot of time keeping in touch with shut-ins either by visiting or by phone.
She loved life and very much loved the Lord and now has been called to that blessed Heavenly place where all can be "Together Forever."
Betty is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Frank, three sisters Dorothy, Evelyn, and Laverne along with brothers James and Donald.
She is survived by by her brother and sister-in-law Jackie and Elaine Cline of Seminole and several nieces and nephews and loving friends throughout the community.
