Doyle Roy Abbott
Doyle was born on June 26, 1943 in Afton, Oklahoma to Jesse LeRoy Abbott and Cora Bell (Kuder) Abbott. He graduated from Afton High School in May of 1961.
Doyle lived in the Chelsea area for 35 years and was a self-employed truck driver. He joined the United States military on December 3, 1964 and served in the Army for 6 years, he was Honorably discharged on December 2, 1970. While serving our country Doyle received the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Metal, as well as the Vietnam Campaign Medal.
Doyle married Elizabeth Campbell on October 18, 1997 in Claremore Oklahoma. He went to be with the Lord Sunday morning at his home near Chelsea.
His Parents and his sister Mary Martin preceded him in death.
He is survived by: His Wife, Elizabeth of the Home Two Sons, Mike Abbott and his wife Shelly of Chelsea, OK Tracy Abbott and his wife Marlaine of Chelsea, OK Two Stepsons, Bobby Campbell of Claremore, OK Rusty Campbell of Claremore, OK Two Daughters, Gail Phillips of Chelsea, OK Niki Sidel and her husband Ryan of Claremore, OK One Step Daughter, Kassie Campbell of Claremore, OK Three Brothers, Bill Abbott and his wife Bonnie of Tucumcari, NM. Albert (Smoke) Abbott and his wife Joyce of Claremore, OK Wayne Abbott and his wife Betty of Afton, Oklahoma Two Sisters, Emma McDougal and her husband Gene of Carson, CA Betty Edwards of Tulsa, OK Eight Grandchildren and Two Step-Grand Children And a host of other relatives and friends
Funeral Service: 10:00 Friday, September 9th at the First Christian Church in Chelsea. Burial will follow in the Washington Cemetery.
