Lloyd Randel "Randy" Jones
June 30, 1952 - November 13, 2024

Services to celebrate and remember the life of Lloyd Randel "Randy" Jones will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 19, 2024, in the chapel at DeLozier Funeral Service. Burial will follow in Chelsea Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday at the funeral home from 3-7 with family there to receive friends from 5-7. Randy passed away in Tulsa on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, with his family at his side. He was 72.

Born in Urbana, Ohio on June 30, 1952, to Lloyd D. and Marion I. (Helms) Jones. Randy was raised and educated in his birth community. On October 31, 2001, in Miami, OK, Randy married the love of his life Lisa Luttrell. Together they had one daughter Mckinzie. Randy provided for his family working in law enforcement. He even served on the Chelsea Police Department for a time. Having lost an eye at a very young age, Randy was not able to serve in the military, but his country was very important to him. According to his wife in this last election, Randy checked himself out of the hospital just so he could vote. Giving words of wisdom to his family that "his vote mattered".

A man that loved family and especially the times they could all be together. Randy looked forward to the holiday gatherings and especially the pumpkin pie his mother-in-law would make. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. When it came to fishing, it didn't matter where so long as there was water, and he could put his pole in. Randy was a talented musician and played the guitar. He enjoyed those jam sessions and especially if Michelob Ultra was involved. Randy had a great sense of humor and loved to joke around. His family said he did have a little problem with pronunciation. Randy would always say yeller for yellow and punkin for pumpkin. Some might say he did it just to get a rise out of his family. As a young man, Randy spent time along the gulf coast. His wife Lisa shared a couple of stories this time in Randy's life. One being the time he jumped out of a boat and landed on the back of a dolphin. They didn't know who was the most surprised, Randy or the dolphin. The other story was Randy had spent the day fishing in the gulf and had a stringer of fish around his waist. Little did he know that something was eating them as fast as he would catch them until he came out of the water.

A man that has left a legacy that will live on in the lives of his family and friends. Randy is survived by his wife of 23 years Lisa, children, Mckinzie Jones, Chris Jones, and Jeanna Gravitt, grandchildren, Brittney, Cassandra, and Scott, and 8 great grandchildren, brother, Butch Jones and sister, Midge Beaty, mother and father-in-law, Mary and Mark Luttrell and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. Randy was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Mary Jane O'Brien, brother, David Washam, and nephew, Lonnie Orsborne
