Wanda M. Davis
September 1, 1939 - October 6, 2024

Services to remember and celebrate the life of Wanda M. Davis will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 11, 2024, in the chapel at DeLozier Funeral Service. Burial will follow in the Chelsea Cemetery where Wanda will be laid to rest beside her husband Garrett. Visitation will be on Thursday at the funeral home from 3-7 with family there from 5-7. Wanda passed away in Tulsa with her family at her side on Sunday, October 6, 2024. She was 85.

Born in Reeds Spring, Missouri on September 1, 1939, to Claude and Rebecca (Patrick) Dickens. Wanda was raised and educated in her birth community and graduated from Reeds Spring Public Schools. On January 3, 1958, Wanda married the love of her life Garrett Davis. A marriage that lasted 34 years until his passing in 1992. Their union was gifted with 3 children, Valerie, Cindy, and Gary. Wanda helped provide for her family working as a teller at Victory National Bank in Nowata, OK.

An elegant lady that lived each day to the fullest. Wanda had a wide variety of interests and hobbies. She was an accomplished singer and shared that talent in her performances with a local theater group she was a member of. She could certainly hold her own on the dance floor. And an evening out ballroom dancing would certainly put a glow on her face. Wanda was an avid golfer and a world traveler. She took numerous cruises; Europe, Alaska and Hawaii were just a few of her many destinations.

A lady with a lot of determination. Her family said that each year Wanda would hook up to her 5th wheel and head out to South Padre Island for the warmer weather. It was there she made many lifelong friends and memories that lasted her entire life. Gardening and bird watching were two other things that could be counted on to put a smile on her face. She enjoyed the card games with her family, but according to them Wanda seemed to change the rules as they went along to ensure she had the winning hand. When grandchildren, came along it could easily be said that Wanda excelled in her role as a grandmother. She loved them with all her heart, and she had a unique one-of-a-kind relationship with each of her grandchildren. When the opportunity presented itself Wanda's family said she enjoyed an evening at the casino. The slot machines would bring her countless hours of enjoyment and sometimes she would leave as a big winner. No story about Wanda would be complete unless you mentioned her selfless heart. Giving of herself to help others was always important and Wanda gave countless hours as a volunteer at St. John Hospital in Tulsa.

Wanda has left a huge legacy and footprint that will live on in the lives of her family and friends. Wanda is survived by her children, Valerie Patton and husband Toy, Gary Davis and wife Jody, grandchildren, James Patton, Eric Patton and wife Melony, Jennifer Steward and husband Nick, Jessica Stupka and husband Wayne, Allison French and husband Ben, Cassidy Massey and husband Alex Norman and Garrett Davis, great grandchildren, Trinity Wisdom, Luke Patton, Kaleb Patton, Aliya Patton, Kalen Patton, Payton Massey, Everett Steward, Louella Stupka, Lincoln Steward, and Charlee Stupka, brother, Ray Dickens and wife Linda, son-in-law, Ralph Massey, special friend and companion Chuck King and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, husband Garrett, daughter Cindy, brother, Leroy Dickens and sister-in-law, Cleta Dickens.
