Vivian Ann Stewart
August 22, 1956 - December 6, 2024
Services to celebrate and remember the life of Vivian Ann Stewart will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 13, 2024, at the First Baptist Church in Chelsea. Burial will follow at Winganon Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday at DeLozier Funeral Service from 3-7 with family there to receive visitors from 5-7. Vivian passed away at her home surrounded by her family on Friday, December 6, 2024. She was 68.
Born in Claremore, OK in the old Franklin Hospital on August 22, 1956, to Robert C. and Doris J. (Barnes) Wooten. Vivian was raised and educated in the Foyil area and graduated from Foyil High School with the class of 1974. She was the proud mother of 2 daughters Melissa and Vanessa. Vivian provided for her girls working as a painter and a home health care provider.
A Native American, Vivian was proud of her Indian Heritage, and she was a member of the Cherokee Tribe. Her home was filled with Indian artifacts; dream catchers and wolves were part of her collection. Her family said the wolf was always important to Vivian because it signified the leader of the pack. When it came to her family, that is exactly what she was; the leader of the pack. She was the go-to person that kept the family together. Vivian was a great listener and had a big heart and wanted nothing more than all her family to get along. She was instrumental in organizing all the family reunions and get-togethers. Vivian was a very spiritual individual, and the family found over 40 bibles throughout her house.
When free time did present itself, Vivian enjoyed watching football. She was a die hard Sooner and Kansas City Chiefs fan. She liked to hunt and fish and would always have her eye out for Big Foot as she knew for certain he really existed. When grandchildren came along, Vivian excelled in her role as Nana to the grands and Granny to the great grands. No story about Vivian would be complete without mentioning her favorite response "Oh My Lanta!!!!!".
A lady that has left a huge legacy and footprint. Vivian will be for ever in their hearts. She is survived by her mother, Doris Hull, daughters, Melissa Morris and Vanessa Stewart, grandchildren, Alexandria Jones, Austin Jones, Korgan Valencia and husband Mychael, Samantha Branch, Lindsey Jones, Blake Branch, Earnest Jones, Hannah Mills, Makayla Burks, and 16 great grandchildren, brother Norman Wooten and wife Lisa, sisters, Patricia Blossom and Bonita French, and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Vivian was preceded in death by her father, Robert C. Wooten, son-in-law, Randy Morris Jr., sister, Norma Ball, and stepfather, Stephen Hull.
