Dustin Adam "Gentle Giant" Robinson
December 19, 1982 - September 1, 2025
Services to celebrate and remember the life of Dustin Adam "Gentle Giant" Robinson will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 12, 2025, at Chelsea Assembly of God. Burial will follow at Winganon Cemetery. A reception and time for friends to pay their respects will be on Thursday at the funeral home from 4-7. Family will be there to receive visitors. Dustin passed away at his home in Chelsea (New Alluwe) on Monday, September 1, 2025. He was 42 years of age.
Born in Claremore, OK on December 19, 1982, to William E. "Bill" and Vickie A. (Harvey) Robinson. Dustin was raised and educated in Collinsville and attended Collinsville Public Schools from elementary to high school. During his school days, Dustin was involved in the art club, chorus, and a member of the academic team.
A man that carried several nicknames Gentle Giant, Uncle Bubba, and Fudder, given to him by family and friends. Dustin spent his entire work career in the oil field and was the owner of Lightning Creek Energy LLC. A man that had a heart as big as he was, Dustin loved family and being with them. He was known for sending songs and funny videos on YouTube to his siblings and they looked forward to getting them. He had a great sense of humor, even if he was sometimes ornery. Dustin was the go-to if you needed a helping hand. He excelled at being a Papa to Harper and she brought countless hours of enjoyment into his life.
Dustin had a wide variety of interests and hobbies. He liked old country music, especially from the 60's and 70's, he even liked Red Dirt Country music. Dustin was a Ford man and the older the vehicle the better. He had a gift of story telling and was known to share them with total strangers. Dustin knew his way around the kitchen and according to his family he was a great cook.
A man that has left a huge legacy that will live on in the lives of his family and friends. Dustin is survived by his parents, Bill Robinson and Vickie Standeford, grandmother, Margaret Shipp, sisters, Sonja Robinson and fiance Michael Brown, Kaelynn Robinson, Stephanie Anderson, Odessa Martin and husband Jarod, brother, Christopher Robinson, granddaughter, Harper, nieces and nephews, Ava Martinez, Aiden Smith, Berkeley Robinson, Brock Robinson, Trinity Standeford, Buddy Standeford, Matt Bryan, Collijah Whistler, Kaidence Crosslin, Jaidyn Crosslin, Braxton Anderson, and Sophia Carpenter Martin. Dustin was preceded in death by his, maternal grandpa, Clarence "Pill" Harvey, maternal grandma, Minnie Harvey, maternal uncles, Bryan Harvey and Wesley Harvey, paternal grandpa, Lester "Shorty" Robinson Sr., grandpa, George Melvin Jones, aunt, Gloria Cody.
