Wilburn "Will" Junior Reed
February 3, 1952 - October 9, 2024
A graveside service to remember and celebrate the life of Wilburn "Will" Junior Reed will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at Winganon Cemetery in Chelsea. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday from 3-7 with family there to receive visitors from 5-7. Will passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Wednesday, October 9, 2024. He was 72.
Born in Coffeyville, KS on February 3, 1952, to Leonard and Gladys (Atkins) Reed. Will was raised and educated in the Foyil area and attended Foyil Public Schools. On January 9, 1971, in Chelsea, OK, Will married the love of his life Linda Kincade. Their marriage was gifted with three sons, Gary, Clayton and Preston. Will provided for his family working as a mechanic in the oil and gas industry. He retired from Siemens Energy after 42 years of service.
Will loved his family and excelled at being a husband, father and Papa. He was actively involved in all his sons' activities. Will found great pleasure in coaching baseball and even coached his boys' little league teams. He liked to fish and Oologah Lake was a favorite destination to spend the day with his fishing pole in hand. Because of his mechanical background, Will liked to tinker around the house, fixing lawn mowers or anything else that needed his attention. He liked old western movies and if John Wayne was in it, you can bet that is the one he would watch. When the grandchildren came along Will once again excelled at his role as Papa. He had a unique relationship with each of his grandchildren. And he created special memories for each of them. Those domino and checker games will always be remembered.
A man that has left a huge footprint and legacy. Will, will be missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife of almost 54 years Linda, sons, Gary Reed and wife Amy, Clayton Reed and wife Stefanie, Preston Reed and wife Charity, grandchildren, Koby Reed, Wyatt Reed, Halley Reed, Jayzie Reed, Mayce Reed, and Barrett Reed and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Will was preceded in death by his parents, grandson, Garrett Reed and brothers, Larry, Danny, and Raymond Reed.
