Zaundra Dale Peace
April 23, 1944 - October 23, 2025
Zaundra Dale Peace, 81, of Dewey, joined her beloved husband Amos "Everett" Peace in heaven on Thursday, October 23, 2025.
Zaundra was born April 23, 1944, in Oklahoma City, OK, to William "Clark" and Hazel Azlee "Tabor" Guinn. She attended Collinsville Public School, graduating high school there in 1962. A few months later, Zaundra married the love of her life, Everett, on July 22, 1962. He proposed to her while they were looking at kittens at her parents' home. They met at church when they were 16 years old and it was love at first sight. They shared 59 years of loving marriage when Everett passed away on November 15, 2021.
Zaundra was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She lovingly supported her husband in his role as pastor. Everett pastored three churches starting at an early age. His first church was in Locust Grove, and he served for more than 40 years at Dewey First Free Will Baptist Church. Zaundra also served at the church in various ways through the years. She taught Sunday School, made costumes for various Christmas programs, cooked dinners, and volunteered countless hours at the church. She also played bass guitar and sang for the worship team.
Zaundra was an outstanding cook and some of the family's favorite dishes she prepared include pot roast, fried chicken, biscuits, and chocolate cake with her beans. She cooked anything Everett brought to her, including road kill.
Her hobbies included crafting, crocheting, reading, cooking, and watching movies.
Zaundra loved her family with all of her heart. Her family remembers many great road trips, where they stopped at various parks to eat "slam" sandwiches. They also remember her blue plastic shoe and claim she was a "quick-draw" with using it on them. Most of all, she always gave the best hugs and had the cutest laugh.
Survivors include four children, Venus Anderson and husband Craig, Ken Peace and wife Angie, Shelley Monday and husband Jerry, and Wayne Peace and wife Charlene; one sister, Ava Cooper and husband Robert; 12 grandchildren, Brandon, Skyler, Kenny, Summer, Heather, Autumn, Logan, Brittney, Jessica, Jerison, Dakota, and Cheyenne; 33 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Everett; her parents, W. Clark and Hazel Guinn; and five siblings, Neal Guinn, Don Guinn, Joe Guinn, Daphine Creason, and Juanell Porterfield.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to My Refuge, P.O. Box 681, Bartlesville, OK 74005, or visit www.my-refuge.org.
