Gerri passed away at her home in Claremore with her daughter and son-in-law at her side on Tuesday, December 9, 2025. She was 79 years old.
Born in Tulsa, OK on March 10, 1946, to Cecil R. and Jewel B. (Pullen)Jarrett. Gerri was raised and educated in Tulsa and graduated from McLain High School. Gerri was the proud mother of three children, James Garrett, Stefanie Aziere-Sattler, and Christina Moore-Budde. In 1980 Gerri married the love of her life J.E. Garrett. Their marriage lasted for 30 years before his passing.
A lady that was a devoted follower of Christ, Gerri lived her life with faith and grace. Throughout her life Gerri embraced many roles, daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, singer and artist. Geri was a very talented artist, as well as being creative. One of her paintings even hung in the lobby of the local bank in Chelsea. A beautiful singing voice was truly Gerri's gift God gave her. She was part of a traveling Christian Group that went into churches all over and put on concerts. Gerri liked bead work and doing ceramics just a few other ways she was able to show her creativity. In her younger days, Gerri liked rodeos and horses. After marrying her late husband J.E., Gerri found she had a true passion for fishing. In fact, daughter Christie said Gerri kept her fishing poles in the trunk of her car and if anyone suggested going fishing, she was ready in a matter of minutes.
Gerri's creativity and love touched everyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to share in her life. Gerri is survived by her son James Garrett, daughters, Stefanie Aziere-Sattler and her husband Donnie and Christie Moore-Budde and husband Brett, grandchildren, Stephen Ray Long and wife Cheyenne, Kelsey Cheyenne Ehlers and husband Jeremiah, Payton Sattler and fiancé Catherine, Spencer Ariza, and husband RJ, Brett Moore, Dakota Moore and girlfriend Amanda Barbosa, and Robin Hart, 19 great grandchildren. Gerri was preceded in death by her parents, husband J.E., grandson, Timmy Moore, brothers, John, Pete, and Robert Jarrett, sisters, Nellie Leland, and Lois Reed.
