Hubert Lee Yowell was born January 9, 1908 in Old Rankin now Reydon, Oklahoma, and passed away in Cheyenne, Oklahoma, Friday, March 9, 1959 after a lingering Illness at the age of 51 years, 1 month and 27 days.

He was born and reared in the Reydon community and attended the Reydon school.

He was associated with his father for many years in the grocery business and in later years was owner and operater of the store from 1932.

On December 24, 1928 he was united in marriage to Goldie Dotson at Anadarko, Oklahoma and to this union one son was born.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Goldie Yowell of the home address; one son, William Dean Yowell and wife Edith of Reydon; one grandson, Jimmie Lee; his mother, Mrs. Verna Yowell; and many other relatives and a host of friends.

His father, the late Guy Albert Yowell preceded him in death September 27, 1955.

He was industrious, dependable and lived an upright, clean and righteous life. He was one of the leading businessmen of Reydon until his recent illness.

He was quiet, unassuming and loved his home and family, a devoted father and neighbor to all his friends. He was always willing to help in any worth cause.

He always was patient in business and his illness.

Lee will be greatly missed by his loved ones and friends.

Funeral services were conducted on Monday, March 9, 1959 at 2:30 p.m. in the Reydon community building with Rev. Charles Simpson, Methodist pastor of McAlester, officiating, and Rev. Frank Pollard, Assembly of God pastor, officiating.

Interment was in White Rose cemetery, Reydon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma.
