Benton Franklin Scrivner, Route 2, Reydon, passed away in the Town Hall Estate Nursing Home Monday morning February 21, 1972 after an extended illness.
Services will be Thursday in the Reydon Community Building at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. George Ridley and Rev. Donald Konkle officiating.
He was born April 6, 1886 in Elbing, Butler county Kansas then on August 6, 1906, he moved to the Rankin community.
On January 19, 1914 he was united in marriage to Maude James at Canadian, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son Floyd; and one brother James.
Survivors are his wife, Maude of the home; three daughters, Mrs. Edith Hooper of Burkburnett, Texas; Mrs. Myrtle Glass of Newton, Kansas; Mrs. Orma West of Burkburnett, Texas; six sons, Martin and Clifford, both of Reydon, Oklahoma; Ora of Pueblo, Colorado; James of Elk City, Oklahoma; Ralph of Dallas, Texas; Donald of Amarillo, Texas; twenty grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and numerous friends.
Interment was in White Rose Cemetery, Reydon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel, Sayre, Oklahoma.
