Marvin Leroy Rice was born September 9, 1928 in Francis, Oklahoma to Ruthie Isabell and Samuel Nathan Rice.
He passed away November 11, 2002 in Great Plains Regional Medical Center, Elk City, Oklahoma a the age of 74 years, 2 months and 2 days.
Marvin lived in Francis until he was 13 when he moved to Reydon, Oklahoma.
He was married to Anna Mae Gray at Wheeler, Texas, on November 29, 1958 and they remained in Reydon, Oklahoma, until moving to Cheyenne in 1966 to make their home.
Marvin worked for the Oklahoma Highway Department until his retirement.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; three brothers and five sisters.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, November 14, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. at the White Rose Cemetery, Reydon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma, officiated by Charles Wright. Arrangements are under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service.
Survivors include two sons, Mark Edward Rice of Cheyenne, Oklahoma; Johnny Rice and wife, Anna of Cheyenne, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Richard, Wendi, Angela and Tyler; and host of relatives and friends.
