Mary Alene HillmanParman was born July 5, 1925 in Wheeler, Texas to Etta and Ben Hillman. She passed away January 14, 2003 in the Great Plains Regional Medical Center, Elk City, Oklahoma at the age of 77 years 6 months and 9 days.
She moved with her parents to Midway/Reydon where she attended school.
Alene married Carl Richard Parman at Sayre, Oklahoma on August 1, 1944 and they continued to make their home in Reydon.
Alene loved to crochet, knit, cross stitch, play bingo and go to dances.
She was a member of the Reydon United Methodist Church and loved to go to church where she sang in the choir and read her devotional Bible studies.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and two grandchildren, Shad Wright and Cassie Wright.
Services were held Wednesday January 15, 2003 at 11 a.m. at Reydon Community Building, officiated by Rev. Margaret Friend. Burial followed in the White Rose Cemetery, Reydon, Roger Mills County,Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service, Cheyenne.
Surivivors include her two daughters, Barbara and Bob Counts of Elk City, Oklahoma; Carlene and Ronnie Wright of Amarillo, Texas; three sons, Gale Bert and Shirley Parman of Reydon, Oklahoma; Homer Lee and Oma Parman of Reydon, Oklahoma; Buddy and Brenda Parman, Elk City, Oklahoma; one sister, Marie Baker of Wheeler, Texas; one brother, Gale Hillman of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
