Mamie D. Davis Duke was born December 27, 1912 in Woodward, Oklahoma to Blanche and Ward Davis and passed away May 9, 1992 in the home at the age of 79 years, 4 months and 12 days.
She married James Walker Duke on December 24, 1969 in Woodward, Oklahoma. After their marriage they lived in Ft. Supply before moving to Cheyenne in 1974 and later to Reydon in 1983 to make their home.
She was a member of United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
She was survived by one step-daughter, Oneta Owen of Cheyenne; two step-sons, Ike Duke of Reydon; and James Duke of Dalhart, Texas; one brother, Roscoe Davis of Longview, Washington; nine grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
Services were at 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 11, 1992 at the Reydon First Baptist Church officiated by Mark Smith and Lindy Sasser.
Interment will be in the White Rose Cemetery, Reydon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service.
